The Parish Council is demanding answers to safety questions raised after the inferno that ripped through the Golden Triangle estate left Hale Bank residents both angry and terrified.
On your behalf, we invited our MP Derek Twigg, a safety officer from Halton Council and all three ward councillors, Eddie Dourley, Joe Roberts and Marie Wright to attend July’s meeting of the Parish Council.
This was hopefully to try to answer some of your questions and allay any fears about contaminated debris from the site.
Neither Mr Twigg nor the council’s safety officers were able to attend this meeting, but have said they will attend later meetings of the Parish Council in the autumn.
Widnes Fire Station Manager Stuart Devereux will be attending our meeting on 8th July in Hale Bank Youth Club.
Hale Bank Parish Councillors are committed to helping residents have improved quality of life.
Unfortunately our powers and resources are limited, but we do already carry out annual air monitoring of nitrogen dioxide levels in the village and have been doing so for the past five years.
Results from this year (2019) and the full report will be posted on this website, with a table summary on our Facebook page and in the Parish noticeboard, as soon as it is available.
