Hale Bank Parish Council needs new members.
There are currently three vacancies on the Parish Council. The latest vacancy follows the resignation of
A by-election will be held if, within 14 days (not counting Saturdays and Sundays) from the date below, 10 electors for the parish give notice in writing claiming such an election to the Returning Officer.

If no such notice is given, the Parish Council will fill the vacancy by co-option. This current vacancy will also be advertised on the Parish Council noticeboard (by the Co-op store, Hale Road) and on the Parish Council’s Facebook page.
This October will also see the retirement of current Chairman Cllr Colin Rowan, who announced his plans to resign at the AGM. This will create another vacancy leaving half of the Parish Councils eight seats empty.
Cllr Rowan urged new candidates to come forward and join the Parish Council.
He said: “It is your Parish Council and unless new people join it will not be able to operate and Hale Bank will suffer the consequences.
“You will have no voice and no opportunity to seek Judicial Reviews, or have democratic voice via a Parish Council because it will not exist.
“It is up to you.”
